And We're Live in 5...4...3...2...1...

The website is live! SMS Soap Co. is officially open for business. Of course, I'll be adding more as I go, and it will probably always be a work in progress, but I finally reached a point where I felt comfortable opening for business.

I'm happy. Very, very happy.

It took longer than I thought it would, but every step was satisfying, because I knew it was bringing me closer to my goal.

There were times I was tempted to leak little tidbits, but deep down I wanted there to be a big reveal...a Grand Opening...with all the little details pulled together, and the whole site looking sharp.

Knowing me, however, those teeny-tiny, finer details will be tweaked once or twice. I'm a picker, I can't help it. I pick at things, tweak 'em, change 'em up, then change 'em back.

Sigh. It's a sickness, I'm sure :)

Take a look around the site, let me know what you think. And please feel free to sign up for our newsletter for updates and occasional coupon codes.

Getting Ready...

Happy Valentine's Day!

Things are really starting to come along nicely with the website. I've been working on it since the start of the year, and while technically it's up and running, I'm not. That's why I haven't been promoting it very much, if at all.

I've let a few people know about it, and one of them just happens to be my best friend. She's also the one I custom-blended the scent for the sugared body polish over there (basically a sugar scrub with a little bit of awesome thrown in). She's lucky I love her or I'd be snagging this for myself.

We came up with the name "thai'd up" just for her, to represent her family heritage. The scent is a blend of lemon and ginger, and I feel it really captured what we were going for.

Hopefully she agrees.

If she likes it, I think I may add the scent to my line so it will be available for everyone.

I've also been contemplating trying a spa salt soap. I haven't tried one myself, but almost everyone who has raves about them. I think I would want to try a super-fine Mediterranean salt, though, so it wasn't too scratchy to the skin.

I'm definitely hoping to have the website running smoothly soon so I can get started on developing a foot line (fizzy foot soak, scrub, and cream) in time for summer. It will be my mission to help you get those feet sandal-ready.

Okay, that's about it for now.

Stay tuned so you know when the store is up-and-running and ready to go...
